Our Troutline Super Spike Hare Dubbing is our favorite dubbing made for tying European nymphs. We call it super spike dubbing because we use a larger qty of guard fur in the final dubbing mix. We use 60% of guard hair mixed with 40% of under fur to provide the perfect spikey dubbing that you dream. You can make fabulous GRHE with this dubbing or you can use for making thorax area for different patterns and to imitate the legs of the insects.
All this fur is coming from hunters, skins cleaned and tanned to avoid pests, dirt and blood. Then we dye the skins and we cut by hand in order to preserve the guard fur and under fur structure. Only in this way we provide a nice and clean fur for our clients. It is time consuming and there are lots of steps but in the end we obtain a fantastic material for our tiers and friends:)
